Google released the following report that lists the percentage of devices that run a version of Android. There are still 0.6% of devices running Android Cupcake, which was 11 versions earlier than Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). The most poplar version of Android is Android Gingerbread, Android 2.3, with 55.5%, followed by Android Froyo, Android 2.2, with 30.4%.

According to an article on PC Mag, about the only thing going for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is that it is the first smartphone with Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0). With Android 4.0, the Galaxy Nexus has an improved browser which beat all other smartphones in the Broswermark browsing benchmark. It also includes NFC, but without Google Wallet, the ability to use it is limited. Voice calls were very disappointing and battery life was just under 6 hours talk time.
